The Delhi Rent Control Act ("DRC Act" or "The Act") was enacted in the year 1958 and amended in 1995. The Act itself is titled in favor of the tenant but the interpretation of the sections involves the leanings of each individual judge. Hence each judgment as relates to the act is necessarily colored by the views of the individual judge, whether they are pro-tenant or pro-landlord.
This blog attempts to statistically compile and present the views of each judge from the Delhi High Court or the Supreme Court issuing the decisions related to the Act.
